Over the last year Turkey has taken steps to renew it's conflict with the Kurdish peoples including attacking them in Syria. The Kurdish soldiers fighting ISIS are proving to be the only effective fighting force against ISIS. If the goal is to defeat ISIS using forces already in Syria, Turkey is trying to prolong this conflict by attacking Kurdish forces. This indirectly helps ISIS gain territory, putting the US Lead operations in jeopardy of failing.
