pressure the Pakistani Government to stop the killings and persecution of Shia Muslims and other religious minorities.

Thousands of Shia Muslims have been killed in the last twenty years in Pakistan. Hundreds of Doctors, scholars, Businessmen, and professionals have been murdered in target killings. Mosques and religious processions have become routine targets. The authorities have failed in stopping the attacks and prosecute those responsible. Our North American community is outraged by this intensifying tragedy. Hundreds of members of Ahmadi muslim community as well as Christians are also facing serious threats.Many of the threats come from the same militant forces that are hostile and a threat to the United States so It serves in the U.S's best interest to speak out against these atrocities. The U.S has a long tradition of standing up for human rights and we hope for it continue in this case.
