Meriam Ibrahim, age 26, was given the death sentence in a Khartoum court. Meriam is a christian, the wife of a United State citizen, and is 8 months pregnant. After giving birth, Meriam will receive 100 lashes for committing adultery (by being married to a christian), and she will be hanged to death for apostasy (being a christian) after nursing her baby.
This is an outrage against human rights, women's rights, and religious freedom, and it must not happen! Please put pressure on the Sudanese government not to follow through with this vile sentence.
