Pressure Turkey to Stop Human Rights violations

Created by B.D. on July 27, 2016

Reports as of July 26th by the Amnesty International group and other groups have stated that Turkish law enforcement is violating Human Rights through the following actions:

*Raping detained coup members with fingers or batons.
*Beating coup members to death after they arrive and lying about their condition upon arrival.
*Detainees arriving at stations with blood all over them, signifying they were beaten to bleeding point during or after detainment.
*Forced in stress positions for hours and being deprived of food.
*Grave violations to right of a fair trial.

Despite the situation the US military is in and the risks of losing the current alliance with Turkey, allowing Human Right violations in an allied nation is unacceptable for a democratic nation such as the United States of America.
