Shezanne Cassim, 29, is an American citizen who has spent the past 7 months in a UAE prison for posting a comedy video to YouTube about youth culture in Dubai. He has been charged with endangering national security by violating the cyber crimes law. A date is yet to be set for his trial and he has been denied bail 3 times without a reason being given.
Shezanne has committed no crime and in no way endangered national security. The video is still available on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IUk5CB9kaBY and it's content is clearly playful and not dangerous in any way.
