Prevent the Acquisition of TimeWarner, by Comcast, in Light of the Recent Rescission of Net Neutrality.

Created by P.G. on February 13, 2014

With the recent rescission of net neutrality, we cannot risk the loss of the freedom of speech by allowing major Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to buy-out other major ISPs. The threat to our freedom of speech online is threatened the more the ISP market becomes a monopoly. The acquisition of TimeWarner by Comcast would directly affect the level of censorship permitted in the United States.

When net neutrality was rescinded, the judge justified his ruling by stating that consumers would still have a variety of ISPs to choose from, which, by virtue of demands of the free market, would limit how much ISPs would restrict bandwidth to certain websites.

I request that, in light of net neutrality's rescission, the legality of such a large merger is called into question.
