Prevent Afghan child sex abuse

Created by S.B. on September 27, 2015

It has come to my attention by several media articles including a NY Times piece that DOD personnel in Afghanistan are being told to ignore and/or look the other way when Afghans are engaged in sexual abuse of minors. While I understand the pressures put on our military in terms of sovereignty and strategic military concerns these cannot trump our moral obligation to protect children in our presence. To allow this to continue will morally compromise our troops in the field and our nation as a whole. This cannot continue.
