We ask the Obama administration to intervene and stop the crimes against an American literary institution being committed by Warner Brothers studios in their decision to cast Ben Affleck as the next actor to play Batman. While Mr. Affleck has proven himself to be a talented director and acceptable actor, his past performance in Daredevil and other "action" movies has shown him to be out of his element in these roles*. While the studio has every right to cast whomever they want, it is also the responsibility of our government to protect the public at large from such a potentially damaging trauma that could result from Mr. Afflecks' portrayal.
*Unless said film takes place on a giant asteroid hurdling towards Earth. Speaking of which, when is our country going to adequately fund NASA?
