Prevent Black Friday participating companies and corporations from opening on Thanksgiving

Created by C.B. on November 24, 2014

The coming Black Friday has been more controversial then most due to competing companies opening earlier and earlier on Thanksgiving day in the hopes of getting the first shoppers at their stores. Recognizing that Thanksgiving is a national holiday, companies should not be allowed to open before a certain point or by the time of 12:00 A.M. on Black Friday. This would level the playing field and allow true competition of whom can offer the best deals to consumers. This also would stop the continuous early openings by companies on Thanksgiving.
