The Boy Scouts of America risk losing relevance, members and leaders both current and future due to their stance on homosexuality.
President Obama has approved the use of his signature on all Eagle Scout award certificates; as have previous Presidents. My own was "signed" by Bill Clinton.
I call for President Obama to withhold permission to use his signature on Eagle Scout award certificates until the Boy Scouts adjust their policy with respect to homosexuality to more accurately reflect the true nature of the Scout oath and law, while also respecting the diversity of opinions and lifestyles that make our nation great.
The President's signature on the Scouts' certificate of their highest award is an implicit approval of their values, values which the President does not support.
