We desire the government to be able to accomplish their goals for which we pay them, chief among those is funding the government.
Therefore, we propose that every sitting member of congress or senator become ineligible for reelection when combined legislature fails to pass a budget by the scheduled date.
Also, those members of congress and senators shall forfeit their pay during the period in which the government budget is not passed.
The purpose behind this petition is for our elected officials to realize that they need to put the United States Government and people above their own petty partisan politics.
