Prevent businesses from circumventing U.S. EPA regulations by outsourcing the manufacturing of goods in other countries.

For years we have been outsourcing manufacturing-caused pollution to other countries with lower environmental standards than us while pretending that somehow we will not eventually have to deal with the long term environmental impacts. My need to be in a pollution free environment also does not trump the same need of someone in China, or elsewhere. While we may not be able to get other governments to agree to a complex list of standards we should at least hold ourselves and them accountable for a basic set of standards that keep to the spirit of our existing environmental regulations.
