prevent the city of Detroit from turning off the water of 300,000 citizens.

Created by L.B. on July 01, 2014

The city of Detroit is turning off the water of nearly 300,000 people who are too poor to pay their bill. Denying access to clean water to drink or bathe leaves people susceptible to disease and possible death. While the American government sends billions of taxpayer dollars in economic and military aid to other countries, it turns a blind eye and deaf ear on our own people. We demand that the citizens of Detroit be given the same rights as the people of Isreal, Egypt, Colombia, Russia, Haiti, Yemen and every other country that receives assistance from American taxpayers. We demand that every citizen of Detroit be given the human and civil right of clean water.
