Prevent Comcast from merging with Time Warner

Created by C.S. on May 09, 2014

The FCC is currently doing nothing to stop Comcast, the largest ISP in the US, from merging with Time Warner, the second largest. Comcast would have a strong monopoly in many areas of the United States and prevent new, smaller ISP's to become successful. Monopolies should be stopped in capitalistic economies because without competition, the price for an even slower internet will rise. There will be no progress or advancements when Comcast becomes the only US ISP. Comcast is the number one infringer in net neutrality, and they have proved to the American public that they cannot be trusted with any power, and they proved that their best interest is themselves, not the American citizen.
