Allowing the creation of this monopoly would only serve to further raise consumer prices, reduce products offered, and stifle innovation in the ISP/subscription TV market. These two companies are already ignoring their customers wishes, demands, and concerns on their own, focusing only on lining shareholders' pockets instead of attempting to improve technical service levels and customer service relations. Combining these two giants would only make a bad situation worse, not only for the future of the cable industry, but for the millions of customers who's only choice for HSI is the cable company.
