prevent companies owned by a currently serving politician from receiving government contracts.

Created by J.K. on January 04, 2012

Politicians have a nasty habit of starting companies (or investing in them) and then awarding them government contracts based on their own expertise a field.

This is an obvious conflict of interest and should be illegal. For example, Fla. Governor Scott giving a drug-testing contract to a company he started.

Politicians should in no way stand to benefit (monetarily or otherwise) from any legislation they enact.
