Prevent companies from purchasing Coltan from the Democratic Republic of Congo

Created by S.P. on March 18, 2014

Currently, many companies in the United States are purchasing Coltan (a product that is used for many electronic devices) that comes from the Democratic Republic of Congo. The DRC is forcing children to work in these mines and the death rates are very high. Coltan from the DRC is causing innocent children to die in mines, and many others to die as accessories to crime.

Businesses in the US should not be allowed to take part in these Human Rights violations, and it is our obligation as American citizens to prevent these things from happening further.
