Create a law protecting all personal identifiable information (PII) as defined by NIST Special Publication 800-122 and require all companies/individuals/entities to obtain specific written consent before sharing any PII Data for any purpose. PII data includes Name, address, telephone number, Socal Security Number, Gender, Age. Date of Birth, PII data not owned by the entity soring such would be required to be encrypted using a strong encryption method at all times both at rest and during transit and guarded carefully if produced in a human readable format (such as printed on paper). Strict fines and or other remediation would be enforced should PII data be shared contrary to this law whether intentional or unintentional.
