There is little to no evidence about benefits of using genetically modified organisms (GMOs) outside research environment.
Handled without precaution, they contaminate life forms that took many hundreds of thousands or millions of years to reach the evolutionary stage they're in now.
Using copyright law loopholes and revolving doors practices, corporations such as Monsanto managed to put out of business farmers by contaminating their crops and then filing lawsuits (and winning!) on copyright infringement grounds - in cases where, following all common sense rules, Monsanto should have been punished for polluting the environment.
As proven in many places around the world, GMOs are not sustainable and a threat to biodiversity, so they should be stopped, or at least restricted.
