Batman is a national treasure. So is Superman. The proposed plot idea for Warner Bros.' next movie involving them both is stupid.
While Batman and Superman will never see eye to eye, they would never get in to a knock down, drag out brawl, especially one where a middle-aged Dark Knight actually wins.
Batman was finally done properly in the Christopher Nolan trilogy. Casting Ben Affleck as the Caped Crusader will never work, nor will it be accepted by the fan base that has already endured the Joel Schumacher tragedy.
So we beseech you, our elected officials, to put a stop to this before irreparable harm comes to a symbol of what is good in all of us.
Remember, "You either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain." Please don't let Batman suffer that fate.
