As an EMT I implore you to speak with people working in the field of EMS not just the people around you who think they are too smart to ever be wrong. The impact of the Patient Care and Affordable Care act will destroy EMS in our country. One of the things we take for granted in this country is that if we are injured and call 911, trained professionals will come to our aid. If the PPACA is implemented in its current state, the only EMS services that will not be forced to shut their doors will be ones backed by some form of municipal government. Please act now before it is too late.
