prevent employers from disciplining employees who cannot go to work in severe weather conditions.

Created by S.E. on February 21, 2013

We would like to see that employers not require employees to risk their lives to travel to work in severe, life-threatening weather conditions. While exceptions may be necessary in critical fields of work such as EMS, the average business should not require employees to traverse hazardous roads, through situations such as severe weather conditions (tornadoes, blizzards, etc.) and states of emergency, potentially risking their lives for fear of losing their jobs.

We would like to see the government hold businesses responsible to treat employees with respect and not harass them or require them to show up in adverse weather.
