Prevent employers from using credit records to make hiring decisions.

Please put forth a bill preventing the use of credit records by employers in making hiring decisions. There is no good reason for the use of credit records in employment decisions. Your credit record does not determine your abilities or suitability as an employee, so why should employers be able to use it. The only thing it does is prevent hard-working Americans from getting jobs that they are otherwise qualified for just because their credit record has suffered as a result of long term unemployment.
