The FAA is currently banning all FPV equipment from all aerial RC vehicles.
The reasoning behind the ban is simple, people do stupid things. But why punish the entire community? Should we ban cars because someone decided to step into a vehicle intoxicated? That example happens far more often than anyone causing any threat with an RC vehicle.
The RC community is one with respect, and pride. We enjoy what we do, and follow guidelines we have set. One of those being, don't become a threat to others while flying!
A good FPV pilot, will always throw his plane into the ground, destroying it, rather than risking someone injury.
RC technology is growing rapidly, and becoming safer every day. The people who break the rules, won't follow the new rules anyways! Keep our freedom, let us fly!
