Not only is it bad government to utilized any segment of our population as pawns for political grandeur, let me tell you what some of the effects of this poor budgetary planning has created. When you classify some individuals as essential and the others as nonessential sending them home without pay making the essential employees struggle and then have them watch the nonessential workers come back and receive pay for what they had struggled through can only be seen as a failure of our political system of sensationalism. By making it illegal to reimburse individuals that have been utilized as political pawns is the only way to eliminate them from becoming political pawns in the first place.
