I am asking the government to refrain from furloughing its employees, those who are working for the people, and are the people, because it will only cause more economic distress. It is not an adequate way to cut budget costs. When you reduce the income of the work force, it reduces the amount of money being spent, and reduces the jobs available in the private workforce. Supply and demand requires people to have an income to support the "demand" portion. It is also an imitation of what is hurting the privatized workforce, why a large portion of the population is underemployed. There is plenty of work available to be done, and it can be cheaper with renovation and efficiency, not with reduction of employee work hours.
