prevent future Super Bowl blackouts by upgrading our electrical grid distribution system on a national level

Created by A.H. on February 04, 2013

On Super Bowl Sunday a National Football League game was disrupted for the second time in 15 months by an electrical power outage. The first stadium blackout was in December 2011 in San Francisco. Sunday's outage caused a 34-minute blackout at the Superdome in New Orleans.

This should not happen in this day and age anywhere in our great country. The fact that this happened on live TV at the championship game of our national sport in full view of everyone watching here and abroad should be an embarrassment to our nation.

Please do what your powers allow to spur upgrading our electrical grid and related infrastructure on a national level. To do so would be a great investment for generations to come, and would boost hiring of electrical engineers and other technical personnel.
