The Obama Administration has clearly stated that the growth of Alternative Energy in the U.S. is a high priority and will contribute value to our economy in the form of jobs and export opportunities. The Department of Energy is providing substantial grants and government backed loan guarantees in support of this goal.
Currently there is no provision in these programs to mandate purchase of American made products and labor for the various supported alternative energy projects.
We hereby petition the Obama administration to enact an Executive Order that government alternative energy projects either wholly funded or financially guaranteed be required to use American based products if these suppliers can demonstrate equal or better quality and value.
Spend American dollars on Americans.
