Governor Andrew Cuomo of New York has put gun control at the top of his priority. Obviously, something needs to be done to prevent any more tragedy, however, Governor Cuomo seems to have little regard for our constitutional rights. He has already used the words "confiscation" and "mandatory buyback" in his press releases. These would be absolutely ineffective, wasting millions of taxpayer dollars, and would be an obvious and disgusting infringement of our rights.
More sensible, and legal options could be
-Registration of semi-automatic rifles with detachable magazines
-Licensing of owners similar to pistol permits (w/grandfather clause)
-More stringent background checks.
-Required for private sales as well.
Governor Cuomo must be stopped from violating our 2nd amendment rights.
