In recognition of the removal of the restriction on women serving in frontline combat positions, we, the undersigned, petition the Obama administration to proceed with maximal caution, and encourage President Obama to protect military policy from influence by feminist political or social ideals.
Elaine Donnelly of the Center for Military Readiness writes "To summarize thirty years of studies and reports, women do not have equal opportunity to survive or to help fellow soldiers survive in a direct ground combat environment."
We, the undersigned, recognize and express the most profound gratitude for the contributions made by women in the military thus far, however do not believe women best contribute to the armed services in frontline combat positions.
