Climate change is inevitable. We have already passed the point of no return. I will leave the fossil fuel debate to others and instead this petition will focus on more direct needs. Food.
Research from many groups i.e. International Energy Agency suggest up to 6°C by 2050 is possible. Others are even more dire.
The COP20 in Paris warn of a 2°C climate change which we have already passed on land this February as reported by CNN.
Now we must act and change our food infrastructure to vertical farming. Companies like Aerofarms already exist that produce vast amounts of vegetables grown in doors that use >90% less water and 40% less energy.
We need to replace most of our food infrastructure to these farms so the eventual loss of fertile soil will not push our species to extinction.
