Starting in 2013, the nation's leading internet service providers including Comcast, AT&T, Cablevision, Time Warner Cable and Verizon will premier the Copyright Alert System that tracks online internet activity. It's essentially an industry work-around to get beyond democratically and legislatively decided SOPA and PIPA. Users ISPs will track their bandwidth and send them a series of progressive warnings for alleged illicit behavior, possibly leading to throttling their internet speeds.
We ask the Obama administration to prevent this extrajudicial takeover of a public resource. When the MIAA/RIAA and ISPs collude together, the individual American loses.
