Prevent King.com from trademarking the word "candy"

Created by M.G. on February 12, 2014

King.com, the developers of Candy Crush Saga, have tried to trademark the word 'candy', despite the presence of hundreds of preexisting games with candy in the title. Furthermore, the company has used its wealth to intimidate and bully small, indie developers into changing the names of their games or removing them from app stores.

They claim to respect the intellectual property of others, yet their actions directly contradict their words, especially given their clones of the games, ScamperGhost and CandySwipe. King.com has effectively stolen millions from CandySwipe and should not be allowed to cause further harm to the game.

Therefore, we demand that the US Patent and Trademark Office prevent King.com from trademarking the word 'candy.'
