Prevent Map 21 amendments to the D.O.T HOS rules. Pertaining to 34 hour rest.

Prevent certain MAP 21 amendments to the D.O.T's existing HOS (hours of service), namely, the 34 hour rest. Under the current rule a driver may not drive after 60/70 hours on duty in 7/8 consecutive days. A driver may restart a 7/8 consecutive day period after taking 34 or more consecutive hours off duty. Under the current rule a professional driver could run ever day as long as the driver will not exceed their available hours, currently there are no limitations on the 34 hour rule However changes to this rule are slated to be implemented on 1, July 2013. requiring (1) Must include two periods between 1 a.m.- 5 a.m. home terminal time.(2) May only be used once per week. This hurts both a drivers and the economy , Every driver will now lose 8 days of pay a month. a whole week of pay gone.
