Instead of banning guns in the U.S. (Constitution violation), give law abiding adults the opportunity to take a concealed weapons course to carry a gun, then give the citizens a gun to protect themselves with. Gun control is not the answer to horrific crimes like the one that occurred on Friday, December 14, 2012. If gun control laws are passed, criminals are still going to find a way to get them, and law abiding citizens are left without protection. So in order to protect citizens from rampages and mass murders, issue firearms for protection against criminals and mentally unstable human beings. If everyone has a gun, crime will go down because criminals will be afraid to commit a crime against someone with a firearm.
