Part of Congresses job is to decide whether to cut or increase entitlements as well as taxes. These are the tools they need to accomplish their job as elected officials for the people. Signing these pledges prevent them from doing all that is necessary to take care of the people of America. Make it against the law for members of Congress to sign any pledge.
