For some time, America has had to deal with regional monopolies and a serious lack of choice when it comes to cable and internet service. Now that choice will be further narrowed by the combining of two behemoth cable companies : Time Warner Cable and Comcast.
This merger cannot be allowed to happen.
Consumers deserve choices. We deserve a market that is actually competitive. Please break up this conglomerate, establish rules to help eliminate regional monopolies, and work to protect consumers.
We cannot trust that the FCC will automatically do what is right in this situation, and that is why it is so important to make some noise. Please keep in mind, the current FCC chairman is Tom Wheeler, a former lobbyist for the cable industry. Please sign.
