It seems that following all studies published that it would be common sense to start a phase out of the penny, especially with the historical precedent established by the half penny and the success of similar programs in other countries across the world, including our neighbor Canada. As such, I ask the U.S. Government to remove the penny from our list of current denominations.
I ask this partially on the behalf of Retire the Penny and partially for common sense.
