Prevent the passage of Senate Bill 5 (concerning abortion) on the basis that it is a violation of human rights.

Petition to prevent the passage of SB5 which will severely limit the amount of abortion facilities in Texas and prohibit abortions occurring after 20 weeks. Due to the reduction of facilities from 42 to 5, this bill would effectively outlaw abortion in Texas. It is important that this bill is not passed because it infringes on a woman's rights by telling her what she can and cannot do with her own body. Not only this, but senators have chosen to ignore the uproar that occurred just outside of the capital gallery during the voided vote which took place on June 25, 2013. The people have spoken in the place of Wendy Davis, whose filibuster was ended after 11 hours, and even with a worldwide audience of over 200,000 viewers, our voices have yet to be heard. We do NOT want Senate Bill 5
