prevent pharmaceutical companies from profiting at the expense of human lives

"Big Pharma" has continued to get fat at the expense of consumers wallets and, more importantly, their lives.
Rather than base their price for life saving drugs on actual cost of R&D and manufacturing of the drug itself, it is based on demand and desperation.
Any company should have the right to make as much profit as they can, unless it is at the expense of a persons well being.
