Prevent Law Enforcement officers and Law Enforcement agencies from being sued for wrongful death after the officer has been cleared of any wrong doing.
Too many police departments are being sued for wrongful death when officers were involved in justified shootings while in the line of duty.
Taking a life is something that no officer wants to do, but sometimes it's necessary. When police departments have to pay millions of dollars when an officer justifiably defended himself it hurts the city,township,state,etc. that's millions of dollars that could be used to defend the citizens that's just being wasted. We need to stand behind our officers and stop paying for doing nothing wrong. Everyone has the right to self-defense, Police officers are no different.
