Before Mylan, Valeant used similar tactic. Before these companies, KaloBios Pharmaceuticals also raised prices drastically. Once the motive of a company is proven that the drastic price rise is arising from the monopolistic power derived from patent to make medicines unaffordable, the monopolistic power must be curtailed to make medicines accessible.
