Parents across the United States teach their children about firearms. Using firearms for self-defense, hunting and sport is a part of a culture deeply valued by a very large portion of U.S. citizens. It is natural for a child to display their interests in their family past times or professions. The manufacture of firearms is an honorable career and industry that children should not be discouraged from by school administrator opinion. Our children should not be shunned or punished by schools we fund, for displaying their interests in this culture. The demonization of this culture is discrimination and it unjustly undermines the authority of a child’s parents.
