Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel has announced a new plan for budget cuts in 2015. Including a meager 1% pay increase, reduction in BAH, Commisary Benifits, and Tricare cost increases.
In a time where we argue an increase in the Federal Minimum Wage and are in a recovering economy. The Honorable Mr. Hagel wants to reduce our armed forces by 80,000+ jobs. With our economy as it is and the job market more competitive than ever. Under his new plan there will be a huge influx of veterans trying to find jobs or utilizing their GI bill. Either scenario will cause undue stress on the systems in place.
Our little incentives are quickly drying up under the new budgets. Education, Health care, and Commisary costs are changing under this new plan.
