Prevent Runaway Government Spending

We, the people, propose to mandate – by constitutional amendment – that the government must create a yearly balanced budget audited by a governmental committee and an outside firm for consistent accounting practices. Let’s bring sanity back to curb runaway government spending by forcing a balanced budget.
Borrowing from foreign governments and spending the money for our wants is a significant national security risk. Our debt is held by those that have no reason to see us succeed economically or in any other way. A war is being waged against Americans and the battlefield is the fiscal policies of those in power. Our children have already been mandated to pay more than college will cost due to a huge national debt. Rampant spending must stop now. Can’t afford it - don’t do it!
