My wife and I adopted our son a year ago. We could not be happier. We are interested in adopting more children but because of the cost it is not possible. We have told numerous times it is the lawyers that drive the cost up but, to be honest the lawyer is one of the only people I was comfortable writing my check to - he did a lions share of the work. Friends of ours adopted 3 children 10 yrs ago and for the same cost of our one wonderful child.Could someone help me to understand how we promote family values all the time but, when it comes down to it it is nearly impossble to do because of the almighty dollar? I want to bring the cost of infant adoption down and make sure the woman who makes the choice of adoption gets the lions share not the corporations, lawyers or adoptions agencies.
