Principal Dawn Hochsprung among others were slain in a shooting at Sandy Hook Elem Deserves An Award for Heroism

Created by P.D. on December 16, 2012

On Dec 14, 2012, in Newtown, CT, a gunman had taken the life of 27 innocent people, 20 of whom were children. Dawn Lafferty Hochsprung had presented the spirit of a warrior by attempting to get in between the gunman & attempt to shield the shooter from harming the children, Dawn Lafferty Hochsprung was fatally shot by the gunman protecting her children & school. Dawn not only showed bravery and courage beyond what is called upon by a Principal but displayed spirit that is rarely even seen within our military itself. Her selfless and heroic act saved the lives of some of the students as a janitor ran through the hall & the intercom system was on during all of this. I am requesting that Dawn Lafferty Hochsprung be granted the highest award granted to a civilan in Education
