Prioritize the education of American children by focusing on integrating technology into their school day

Children today are not receiving an education which takes into account the fast pace of technological progress. Instead of using the old style "lecture" model of education students should be using these new technologies to create in them a desire to explore. Schools currently are used as storage facilities for children, essentially to get them out of the way from the rest of society. This is a massive waste of potential, students deserve to have the ability to learn about things that interest them. We have technologies that can connect students to other parts of the world to learn about cultures from people who live in those cultures. Instead they learn about them in books. Students could create their own vision of the future, this is the education they deserve.
