Prioritize education funding in the United States.

Created by K.D. on December 12, 2012

It is no secret that public education in our country is in crisis. We should do everything in our power to create an educational system that is both academically rigorous and safe for our children. This cannot be accomplished through standardized testing and metal detectors. We must provide enough funding to our schools such that class sizes be brought down to levels where teachers at all grade levels can know and connect with their students.

Research has shown that classes with fewer than 20 students enable greater academic achievement from our students. Funding should be diverted from failed policies, like the war and drugs, and unnecessary wars to our schools, to our children.
