Since its founding, throughout the Cold War, & into the present NASA has been an inspirational and enlightening icon of the American Spirit. The program has single-handedly produced dozens of technologies, and assisted in the development of countless others. NASA has inspired the hopes and scientific curiosities of generations of Americans. America has always been a world leader in aerospace technologies but, in the past few decades, funding for this emblematic program has sagged to about 0.5% of our annual budget, limiting operations and impairing innovation. As citizens concerned for America's future, we encourage prioritizing funding for this innovative and iconic program -- restoring funding to the mid-90's level of 1% of the annual budget.
